Online Marketing – 5 Positions

Africa Shipping Logistics is looking to fill up 5 online marketing positions from March 2017 at our base station – Mombasa, Kenya.

Primary responsibility will be revamping of our company blog. Through collaboration with the Director of Marketing, the Online Marketing staff will come up with new blog categories designed to appeal to consumers (such as profiles of stylish social enterprises), brainstorm and write blog entries for these categories, and re-categorize existing blog material to fit the new content structure.

We’re seeking talented individuals with a strong desire to learn and the ability to tackle projects head-on. Our ideal candidate should be creative and thoughtful about social media and online content creation.

We are looking for an intern who can work 3 – 5 Days a week from our Base Station in Mombasa, Kenya.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing the company blog
• Driving traffic to the website through engaging content on the company blog and social media.
• Assistance in managing company social media profiles such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and google+ etc.
• Identifying areas of improvement and formulating strategies to increase our online presence and brand awareness.

Desired Skills and Experience

Qualifications we’re looking for:

• Familiarity with WordPress and basic SEO principles
• Familiarity with the social media platforms mentioned above or others
• Well versed in English both written and in speech
• Knowledge in Shipping and Logistics is a plus
• Experience with design tools such as Adobe Photoshop a plus but not required
• Strong writing and communications skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• An enthusiastic and flexible nature!
